The Safe Urban Driving course focuses on how fleet drivers share our cities streets and is designed to raise awareness of the potential hazards that are faced daily and reduce cyclist incidents. The course takes place over a single day and puts the driver into the cyclist’s shoes, incorporating both practical and theory content for 3.5 hours each.
Van Smart is a Transport for London (TfL) backed driver training programme that aims to reduce work related road risks. As well as improving safety and creating long-term behavioural change in the van sector. This course is delivered in two sections, a classroom theory module and a practical cycling module, where van drivers experience a cyclist’s view of the road.
Banksman training ensures that an organisation meets its legal requirements. Reducing the risk of costly accidents when carrying out common, but dangerous, reversing manoeuvres. This course aims to raise awareness of the dangers caused when large vehicles reverse, as well as introducing practical techniques and hand signals to assist drivers with this manoeuvre. Delegates will also be trained in the necessary skills to assist other drivers and banksmen.
The QA Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work (QCF) qualification is specifically designed for individuals who wish to act as a first aider in their workplace. Successful candidates will learn how to manage a range of injuries and illnesses that could occur at work. As well as being equipped with the essential skills needed to give emergency first aid.
The QA Level 2 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work (QCF) qualification is designed for individuals who wish to act as an emergency first aider in their workplace. Therefore, upon successful completion candidates will be equipped with the essential skills needed to give safe, prompt and effective first aid in emergency situations.
The QA Level 2 Award in Basic Life Support and Safe Use of an Automated External Defibrillator (QCF) qualification has been designed to provide candidates with the skills needed to administer safe, prompt and effective basic life support and use an AED safely in emergency situations.
The QA Level 1 Award in Fire Safety Awareness (QCF) is a regulated and nationally recognised qualification. It has been designed for those who want to increase their awareness of how to avoid a fire in the workplace, as well how to deal with a fire should one ever occur.
