Drivers drive and you can’t do that within a classroom; follow our clients lead and reap the rewards!
One of our clients came to us with a clear business objective of what they wanted to achieve from their training courses, their goal was to improve the MPG their drivers were doing while making daily deliveries in order to gain a more efficient fleet. Many businesses are looking at ways of increasing fuel efficiency and decreasing their overall fuel spend, recent figures show that driver behaviour as well as the vehicle they drive both play a big part in increasing fuel efficiency.
Following discussions about their current training programme we suggested that Driver Risk Assessment courses would be the most beneficial course for them. This course is delivered on a one to one basis in the drivers cab and content includes safe and fuel-efficient driving which aims to reduce fuel consumption, as well as specific content helping to improve driving techniques and reduce accidents.
We are now able to report that following the successful delivery of this training throughout one of our clients depots, their average fuel usage was able to be increased by 0.9 MPG. This has resulted in them saving £25,000 on fuel to date, all as a result of a bespoke fuel efficiency and defensive driving course devised by Seven Driver Training. The business has since reported that they are on target to increase their fuel efficiency further, aiming to achieve a 2.0 MPG improvement by the end of 2018.
If you want to raise your MPG figures and reduce driver stress there is no better way than to run a Driver Risk Assessment course like this throughout your depot. If you are interested in booking a course or have any questions please feel free to contact us.
