FORS Members Conference 2017 – Seven Driver Training’s first exhibit!

October 23, 2017

A couple of months ago as a registered FORS associate we received an e-mail asking if we would like to exhibit at the official FORS members conference, on the 17th of October at the national conference centre in Birmingham. It was an invitation that we gladly accepted, harvesting the opportunity for Seven Driver Training to exhibit for the very first time.

The process began early as we started to prepare for the exhibition, we had a long list of jobs to do in order to ensure we were ready to effectively demonstrate all the services that we offer. These jobs involved the general stand layout and designing the stand as well as the leaflets, in order to provide attendees with all the relevant information about our training courses. Furthermore, we had an ongoing project developing our new website which now had a specified deadline to be ready for the show. The final piece of the puzzle was adding the Seven Racing bike to the stand for decoration which proved to be a massive hit.

After months of preparation and excitement the day was finally upon us, after setting up and ensuring everything was in place the doors opened. The activities began with an informational and informative talk from FORS, the over-riding message throughout being FORS is not just for London! This message became more significant to us as the day went on, potential clients were informing us that they thought they could only complete Safe Urban Driving training in London. However, this is not the case Seven Driver Training as well as other providers offer both Safe Urban Driving and Van Smart anywhere in the UK, this was a concerning thought for us as these people seem to have been misled by their current provider.

Another issue within the Driver CPC training industry which became apparent was that some training providers are still cutting corners and cutting courses short, something which categorically does not happen at Seven Driver Training! The benefits of training with us are that we come to you, we bring our own equipment and we are 100% transparent with you; if we say we will be there then we will be there, we do not charge you an admin fee for your DVSA uploads, we do not expect your drivers to pay a cash upload fee on the day and we will never compromise on the course duration.

These interesting insights aside, on a personal level we were delighted with the response that we got about our new website. Every attendee that got a chance to view the new website was complimentary about it, recognising the functionality and simplicity of booking courses. The exhibition was an excellent event and we are thankful to FORS for asking us to exhibit, we enjoyed speaking to those of you who attended about our services! As the Seven bike proved to be so popular, who knows maybe one day you will get an invite to a Seven race day…
