It is now two months until the FORS members conference for 2018 so we thought it would be appropriate to look at what we can expect from this year’s event. This year happens to be the 10th anniversary of FORS; congratulations to everyone involved at FORS for this achievement, the anniversary has led to this year’s conference adopting the theme ’10 years of evolving best practice’. Anyone attending the conference will get to listen to key speakers and visit a range of exhibitors including the Seven Training team.
So, what can we expect from this year’s theme ’10 years of evolving best practice’? The FORS standard was first introduced in 2008 and has since stablished itself as arguably the most recognised vehicle safety accreditation around, FORS have continued to adapt and evolve in order to stay up to date with the latest best practice guidelines and new regulations. Despite their 10 year anniversary they are showing no signs of slowing down as they plan the introduction of Version 5.0 of the FORS Standard, this contains a re-write with the aim of making everything clearer for operators as well as including a wider range of vehicles. The overall benefits of the FORS Standard for a company aim to improve driving standards, efficiency and operational performance.
Like last year Seven Training will be exhibiting at the FORS conference, we will be providing information about our training services and how we can help you achieve or retain your FORS accreditation. We are able to offer Safe Urban Driving Training and Van Smart Training throughout the United Kingdom, at last year’s show it was apparent that people were not aware these courses could be delivered outside of London. However, with our mobile training van we have the capability to come to you and deliver these courses at your office. As well as these courses we also offer a wide variety of training courses as part of our wider course portfolio
We can also assist with other areas of your FORS accreditation and making sure you are compliant with the latest standards. Seven Asset Management can provide you with FORS compliant vehicles and retrofit any existing vehicles you have that may need equipment such as cameras installed. In short, we can offer business’s the whole package, ranging from advice and help with a FORS application right through to vehicle specification and training.
If you attend the conference come have a coffee and say hello to the Seven team, we will endeavour to answer all of your questions and provide insight about our range of services.
"Seven Training provided good training locations and facilities for all courses delivered. Our drivers all said the CPC courses were very enjoyable and engaging, they particularly liked the trainers use of their personal experiences rather than using slide shows of other incidents. "
"The trainer utilised very good content to back up his impressive subject knowledge when making his points. The high-quality training equipment and environment also contributed to making this an enjoyable day, I would definitely use Seven Driver Training again."
"The trainers delivery style ensured the learners were fully engaged, giving them the opportunity to practice their skills significantly prior to assessment"
"The trainer identified each trainee learning style and asked questions appropriate to meet their learning needs, he had established a good rapport with his audience and easily engaged them in practical activities and discussions"
